Amaris Lewis

I feel that before participating in the Pioneer Research Program, a lot of my research depended on being mentored by a professor or graduate student in person. With Pioneer Academics, I feel that it was more of an independent effort, which of course made me more self-reliant when finding reliable sources, extracting large amounts of data for calculations, and knowing that any bias or skewing of the data that resulted from my study would be completely a result of myself. It added a greater sense of independence and a larger sense of purpose to my work.
