Pioneer really strengthened me as a writer overall. I feel like I came out of it being able to convey my ideas in a more concise manner, while still putting forward something that could attract attention. Everyone in my cohort was just very helpful, and we messaged back and forth. Whenever we didn’t understand something, there’d be somebody to answer our questions. I loved the peer review aspect. I think that lends a lot of credibility to the research papers, when you have somebody look over it, and then also just to learn about what other people were researching, other people’s thought processes, what their interests are, because we each researched very different topics.
