At the end of the day, the reason I wanted to participate in Pioneer Academics was to find perhaps one of the root causes of educational inequality in Hong Kong — and that is something I was able to identify and implement into my educational nonprofit. That psychological barrier of shame and embarrassment… was something I wouldn’t have seen without this research.
