Kayley Kish

I became a more confident person through Pioneer. I went into it thinking it’s probably going to be findings that people have already come up with. But I started to realize through the paper that I was finding out some really interesting information, and to know that I could make a change makes me more confident. The way that I overcame the emotional hurdle of believing that I could actually complete this paper was by relying on talking to my professor and those that were in my cohort, and knowing that everyone’s in this position, they’re there to help you. So if I had questions, I would reach out and that really helped. But it was also understanding that this is something that I am passionate about, and something I’ve wanted to pursue.
