Synopsis: A 33-year-old man who lives in Hong Kong had been tested positive for COVID-19 after he traveled back to HK from Spain. The differences in the genetic sequences of the virus strains in the samples confirmed that the man was re-infected after 4.5 months of his first infection. What does this short-lasting immunity mean? How would that influence epidemic situations? How would that influence our daily life in the future? My team explores the reinfection in three different aspects, the previous experiences and researches, the social impact, and the mathematic models, to answer these questions.
