Identity Development and Social Support Through Queer Friendly Online Spaces for Queer Youth
When I was going into Pioneer, I thought research was Ph.D.s in labs, and I felt that was very intimidating. But research at a fundamental level is asking questions and then figuring out answers. And then through my participation in Pioneer, it demystified the whole process. Because my professor would talk about doing research, and his view of college and college research. My professor would talk to us about not how he did research, but his views on research. So getting that insider knowledge is really helpful in demystifying the process.
