“The Pioneer research program was my introduction to fields that lie beyond the traditional high school curriculum. While I have completed labs and writing in chemistry and physics in the past, Pioneer pushed me to explore anthropology and its connections to technology and society. Exploring an unfamiliar field with the guidance of my professor, in addition to having the freedom to discover the interesting niches in my research area, has been crucial in shaping my approach to scientific inquiry and broadening my perspective.”
